President John Dramani Mahama has received an official welcome from His Excellency Aleksandr Grigorievich Lukashenko at the Belarus Presidential Palace during his five-day state visit to Belarus, which is focused on deepening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
The visit, undertaken at the invitation of President Lukashenko, is nearing its conclusion, with President Mahama expected to address a Ghana–Belarus business forum later today.
As part of the engagements, Ghana and Belarus signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) designed to expand cooperation in several strategic areas.
The agreements focus on strengthening collaboration in agriculture, creating a Joint Commission on Cooperation in Trade and Economy, and fostering closer partnerships between the chambers of commerce of both countries.
