His death was announced on Tuesday by his colleagues Funke Akindele, Bolanle Ninalowo, and Godwin Nnadiekwe, who described themselves as his friends.
On her Instagram story, Akindele wrote, “Hmmmmmm. Rest in peace, Alex. I wanted to reach out one last time, but I suppose you knew best. May your gentle soul rest in peace. ‘Ore mi,’ as you affectionately called me, I will always treasure the wonderful moments we shared. Rest in peace, Alex.”
