Heavy rainfall has brought traffic on the Accra–Kumasi Highway to a halt after floodwaters submerged sections of the road, disrupting movement along the major transport corridor.
Reports indicate that the floodwaters have overflowed across the highway, cutting through the carriageway and leaving long queues of stranded vehicles on both sides.
The flooding has caused significant delays for commuters, with motorists unable to continue their journeys as water levels continue to rise along the busy intercity route.
