The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has announced that unemployed health professionals will be engaged as volunteers with monthly stipends to support the government’s Free Primary Healthcare Programme and help address staffing shortages across the country.
Speaking to journalists, the minister explained that the volunteers will work alongside the nearly 16,000 health workers expected to be recruited this year as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery nationwide.
